I'm Katrina!

As a little girl growing up on Anna Maria Island,

far from my original roots of Copenhagen, Denmark,

the idea of capturing life's moments the way that I saw them, has captivated me since my eyes can remember.

This visual fascination and admiration for life's beauty eventually led me to a bachelor of fine arts in photography from the University of North Florida, where I grew my

darkroom roots, and the start of my first business,

Katrina Lathrop Photography.

As they say, 'all roads lead home', and my life's twists and turns eventually did bring me right back to Anna Maria Island to raise my daughter, and re-established my life and business in this beautiful place I’ve been so fortunate to call home.

Life also has its way of working out just the way it's meant to, and today I find myself happily married to my best friend, and raising two amazing children in this place so close to both our hearts, where we grew our Island Roots.
